please note that dont download the ms-uaa and IDT i listed there, just the download hotfix and HDMI, follow the instruction. report back the progress.

Please Install netframework before others, most drivers work in Windows XP SP2 so get the patch for sp2 at Microsoft site. This is the suggestion for your drivers base on the specs, there are also few drivers for Vista at vista download section but i believe windows 7 drivers are comaptible with Vista. Installing Sound Drivers:

First Download:
Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp33566)

Check in Device Manager (start>control panel>administrative tools>computer management–you will find device manager there> under System Devices to see if MS UAA installed properly.
click to enlarge(this is not what you will see but to make you know where is the device manager)
The picture show the device manager panel, ignore the listed hardware there, it was my desktop.

There should be a listing for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.

If not,you should have a PCI with yellow!.Right click it and Update Driver,No to Connect,No to Search and last Install Automatically.
Reboot to check status.

After that install IDT high definition Audi codec.
Download

If Conexant installer still gives the common error…..force install the conexant sound drivers.

Device Manager>Audio device on High Definition

Right click, Update Driver

Say “no, not at this time” for connecting to Windows Update

Select> Install from a list or specific location

Select> Don’t search I will choose the driver to install

In the list of common hardware types,choose “show all”

Remove the check from “Show Compatible Hardware” and click on “Have Disk”

Next…browse to C:\Swsetup\sp35682

Choose the “inf” and ignore any protest from XP

Reboot.

Repeat with modem,browsing to my computer selectC:\Swsetup\333340, open and install,
